But, seems like that won’t be the case for long because the most notorious Dark Web marketplace ever, AlphaBay, seems to have been relaunched by the same administrator after the FBI shut it down four years back. AlphaBay has been operating since the end of 2014, when it helped fill the void left after the demise of Silk Road and Silk Road 2.0. It has since become one of the largest darknet markets, gaining wide publicity after it was used to sell compromised Uber accounts and data stolen from the TalkTalk breach in 2015.
